To match the lively atmosphere, the brand wanted art that felt just as fun, fresh, and funky as the experience. That’s how the "Birdhouse Boys" came to life—a group of original illustrated characters that give each location its own neighbourhood personality.

The Ask.
Birdhouse Wingerie & Bar was looking for bold, playful artwork that would bring the restaurant’s atmosphere to life and match the energy of its gourmet chicken wings. The brief asked for art with attitude, something fun, fresh, and funky that could work on the walls, throughout the space, and on the packaging without feeling generic. They wanted more than just decoration—they wanted characters with real personality, designed to make the brand instantly recognizable and unforgettable.
The strategy.
We came up with the Birdhouse Boys, a group of hand-drawn illustrated characters, each one representing a different Birdhouse location in Montreal. By giving each restaurant its own character, we built a flexible branding system that ties the locations together while letting each one showcase its part of the city. The illustration style matches the brand's loud and lively spirit: fun, full of attitude, and easy to recognize. The characters show up everywhere, from big murals to packaging, giving Birdhouse a consistent visual language that is just as bold as its wings.
