Centropolis

Design That Invites Interaction. Centropolis Laval is a place where you can work, live, meet up with friends, and have fun. It’s designed with a lively, urban feel that matches how people really live. To bring that same energy to its storefronts, Centropolis wanted window graphics that did more than just decorate. Here’s how a large, interactive window display with bold lettering and a 100-foot word search came to life.

The Ask.

Centropolis wanted large-format window graphics for its Laval shopping centre that reflected its dynamic, urban personality and engaged passersby. A static graphic wouldn't capture the lifestyle-driven, playful atmosphere the destination is known for. The challenge was to design an installation that worked at architectural scale across the storefront windows while inviting interaction — turning an ordinary stretch of glass into something shoppers would stop, notice and actually engage with.

The strategy.

The concept leaned into typography and play. We designed a large-format window installation anchored by a bold typographic "O" — a strong graphic centrepiece — and extended it with a 100-foot word search running across the windows. The word search was the key move: instead of asking shoppers to simply look at the graphics, it invited them to participate, scanning the letters and hunting for words as they walked the length of the storefront. The result balances striking visual design with genuine interactivity, perfectly matching the energetic, lifestyle-focused spirit of Centropolis.

The Solution.

The finished installation transforms the Centropolis storefront into an interactive, large-scale experience. The bold typographic "O" gives the windows a strong design anchor, while the 100-foot word search turns passersby into participants, adding a layer of fun and engagement that reflects the destination's playful, urban energy. More than window dressing, it's an installation that invites interaction and lingers in memory — reinforcing Centropolis as a place built for getting together and playing.
